Green Energy Consulting Co., Ltd. (GEC) completed its closing support for two high-voltage solar projects in Japan (combined capacity: over 3MW) on May 15, 2026.
The projects covered different regions, including Hokkaido and the Kanto area, and each involved different backgrounds and stakeholder structures. Both projects also involved multiple coordination items throughout their development and transaction processes.
One project experienced significant schedule changes from the original plan due to various procedures and external factors, ultimately requiring approximately one year from contract execution to closing. The other project also required approximately one year from the start of GEC’s involvement to closing, following extensive stakeholder discussions and various procedural processes. Both projects ultimately reached completion through long-term execution processes.
In renewable energy transactions, project progress is often influenced not only by the project itself, but also by various factors such as regulatory frameworks, procedures, timing, and coordination among stakeholders.
GEC supports project advancement through services including project assessment, transaction process support, and stakeholder coordination support.
We will continue providing practical and execution-focused support for renewable energy and related infrastructure projects going forward.
